Product description

TA Roloff drives can be upgraded to failsafe drives using the E71 auxiliary voltage unit, so that the operated valves automatically move to specified safety positions (end position “CLOSED” or “OPEN”) in the event of a power failure. The energy from integrated batteries is used for this. Since the auxiliary voltage is integrated, the safety position is reached even if the cable supply line is destroyed.

Advantages

  • Automatic approach to the safety position
  • Failsafe facility for all types of fittings
  • Simple electrical control
  • Housing also in stainless steel
  • Integrated design

Function E 71

In normal operation, the energy for operating the TA drive is supplied via the main power supply. The main power supply is de-energized

  • because the cable supply is destroyed
  • in the event of a power failure in the system
  • when “emergency stop” is activated in system sections

the drive moves to the safety position (end position “Closed” or “Open”). The auxiliary voltage is supplied via accumulators, which are kept constantly at operating voltage via a charger to avoid deep discharge. The charger is included in the scope of delivery. For hazardous areas and if the valve needs to be operated very quickly in the event of a power failure, we recommend the patented FM system. The FM system ensures a failsafe function even if not (just) the power fails, but the entire drive fails. Click the “Failsafe” button on the main page and find out more about the differences between the E 71 failsafe unit and the FM system.

With TA drive

The E 71 failsafe unit is available for every drive in the TA 70, TA 120, TA 130 and TA 140 series. (1) Select the appropriate drive series according to the torque range and operating mode. (2) Click the drive series button on the product page and find out more about the data and other options for the drive series. When ordering the E 71 failsafe unit, the weight increases by approx. 0.5-1.0 kg. The total height increases according to the table.
