The explosion protection classes are based on the ignition temperature and the ignition penetration capacity of the explosive ambient atmosphere. Special design precautions must be taken to prevent the drive from becoming an ignition source. Our Ex certified units can be used in areas with gases and vapors in the environment with high dielectric strength and low ignition temperatures, e.g. hydrogen, acetylene.
