recycling
Our products are 98 % recyclable and the housings of our drives, for example, are made from high-quality recycled material. In monthly green meetings together with our partner Zero Footprint, we develop ecological concepts for the continuous improvement of our products and manufacturing processes (e.g. cleaning components containing fat and oil using the Bio-Circle process).
How to be recyclable
Steel, aluminum, brass, copper: The metallic components of TA actuators are recyclable without exception. The electrical assemblies from our actuators are sent to a specialist recycling company for the processing of circuit boards.
Responsibility
TA ROLOFF is aware of its responsibility for the environment, nature and people, even beyond future generations. This is done on the basis of the applicable environmental regulations and applicable technical possibilities.
We are in the certification process (ISO 14001)
Our company is in the ISO 14001 certification process. The environmental management standard ISO 14001 specifies globally recognized requirements for an environmental management system and is part of a group of standards. This includes further standards for various areas of environmental management.
TA Roloff GmbH focuses internally on a continuous improvement process as a means of achieving the defined goals with regard to the sustainability of our products and the environmental performance of our company. The continuous improvement process is based on the Plan-Execute-Control-Optimize (Plan-Do-Check-Act, PDCA) method.
Sustainable quality
We develop high-quality and sustainable products that ensure the greatest possible environmental compatibility across all phases of the life cycle. We also ensure careful use of available resources through coordinated process optimization at all stages of the value chain. The materials we use are selected according to particularly high quality standards and sustainable aspects. To ensure safe manufacturing processes, we regularly adapt our systems and facilities to the latest state of the art technology.
Safety Integrity Level according to DIN EN 61508
In industry, safety circles serve to protect the health of those working there, the environment and the systems. Within the respective safety circuit, the components used must correspond to the safety requirement level in terms of functional safety. The desired level (Safety Integrity Level, SIL for short) results in the safety-oriented design principles that must be adhered to so that the risk of malfunction can be minimized. Our products, in particular our drives and the failsafe system (TA-FM), meet at least SIL 2 in accordance with DIN EN 61508-1 according to external certification by a renowned expert or by TÜV.
With creativity and quality awareness we want to create growth, promote innovation and reduce waste. Of course, a good environmental balance is part of it for us. This starts with the recycling rate of 95 %. Our products are manufactured exclusively in-house in our mechanical engineering company in Hamburg. Purely Made in Germany! The materials and components we use come exclusively from Europe. Through high quality standards, we ensure sustainability as our products are very durable. If necessary, they can also be easily repaired.

Our employees are an integral part of the efforts towards complete climate neutrality mentioned on this page. It therefore goes without saying that they are regularly trained, informed and actively involved in order to achieve the highest level of environmental awareness and commitment.
Suppliers & public
We also actively involve our suppliers and subcontractors in all climate protection activities. Active dialogue with the public
as well as environmental authorities is a matter of course for us in order to minimize environmental impacts.
